Poem: m&m's

Writer's Digest Poetry Prompt:
Write a poem about a candy

here's an m&m
a chocolatey gem
for u from me

melts on your tongue
sweet til it's gone
that 1 m&m
from me to u

i often dream of m&m's
and how they take us
to the heavens
comes in differing hues
from yellow, red, green
to orange and blue

m&m's satisfy
and that's so true!

  1. Yes, it is good to imagine being a kid again and eating m&m's according to reverse colour preference so you always have the best ones last even though they all tasted the same!!

    2. So very nice a tribute to the M&M candies. I love my M&M'S. My kids, grands, and relatives would get me a toy or big bag with them at Christmas time.

  4. You can never eat just one M&M, right? At least that's my mistake. This was a fun read.

  7. Now my head is filled of colorful chocolate thoughts. I hope you're happy (because I am!).

Also, I really like what the poem tells me about the tastiness and fun to be found in diversity.
