Promise
He gave me
a blue rectangle
the night he
was leaving
with his mom,
my sister.
What's this?, I
wondered out loud.
It's something
for you to
remember me
by, he answered.
I stood there
with teary eyes
as the car he's in
moves away.
I #promise you
this my nephew.
I will remember
you everytime I look
at this blue shape.
